What advice would you give to your teenage self?
I am in fact still a teenager at this time of writing – however I have plenty of advice for my younger teen self.
To my 14 year old sad self who knew nothing truly about the world, who had no self confidence, did everything to please others and put everyone before herself.
Firstly, THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD DOES NOT SIT ON YOUR SHOULDERS. You are not responsible for the happiness of everyone around you, and the world will not crumble and your family will not die if you are not always there and are not doing everything you can for them.
Secondly, BE A KID FOR A BIT LONGER. You do not need to grow up so fast and do things just because everyone else is doing them. Go at your own pace and enjoy the present.
Thirdly, STOP TRYING TO FIT IN and just be who you are, because that girl is more than enough.,
Fourth, STOP WASTING YOUR TIME and start doing meaningful things, be productive, start doing shit and thinking about your future in a positive way.
Fifth, START SAVING MONEY. Enough said.
The list is honestly endless but the main things I would tell my younger self is that everything will be okay, life works out just fine and to change her mindset will change her entire life.
