You never know if you never ask.
You never know what someone might be willing to do. What someone is happy to do. What someone already knows. What knowledge you could absorb.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help, advice, knowledge, guidance and even money.
If you come from a place of kindness, genuine curiosity, simply wanting to learn, a genuine authentic place then you have no reason to be ashamed of asking for anything.
Ask your friend to stop calling you that nickname that you hate so much.
Ask your brother to pay you back that money you lent him.
Ask your boss for a pay rise.
Ask your partner for some more love.
Ask your teacher that question that has been playing on your mind.
Ask your Mum why she thought treating you that way was okay.
Ask for a bigger divorce settlement.
IF YOU DON’T ASK YOU WILL NEVER KNOW.
Now that doesn’t mean to say everything you ask will be answered, at least not in the way you wish it to be. But you will certainly be in a better position than if you had not asked at all.
There is no harm or shame in asking as long as it is appropriate and comes from an authentic place. (I.e don’t ask your parents for a loan if you know they are struggling with money themselves).
