LETTING GO OF A PARTNER

Breakups happen. They hurt like a bitch. But they happen. To us all.

They happen under lots of different circumstances and for many different reasons, but at the end of the day a break up is the end of something and is a time we need to let go and move forward.

Perhaps you got cheated on, or your partner did something to hurt you or was actually just not that nice of a person. This can make it a bit easier in terms of actually moving on and letting go as you have a strong reason and something pushing you and reminding you why you need to let go and to stay away from them. The pain will most likely be the same. There is just no avoiding the pain of a break up, it in simply something we must go through and feel.

Other reasons for breaking up like just not being right for one another or distance or your lives going in different directions can make it more difficult to move on as you don’t hold any negative feelings or emotions towards them or at least a lot less than if they cheated. It is harder because all you feel is the love you have for them and yet you know that it isn’t right and won’t work. So therefore you must let go and move forward, it may just take more time.

There is no right or wrong in a breakup, each one is a unique and differing experience. Do not compare your breakup to anyone else’s as it is not about them. It is only about you and that person. Always remember that loving is better than not. No matter how many times we get hurt, we should open ourselves to love and embrace it in all its beauty. The pain after a breakup just shows your amazing capacity for love and that is a beautiful thing.
