Although planning and setting goals for the future is an incredibly important part of life to secure and help our future selves out- it is also vital that we enjoy each day as it comes and are present.
Sometimes, just aiming for a good day is enough.
Wake up and decide ‘I am going to have a good day today’ and then pursue and make it a good day.
Having a ‘good day’ will mean something different to everyone. For some it might be hoovering the lounge finally, or picking up fresh food, going for a meal, receiving a parcel, spending time with a loved one, having sex with a partner, eating your favourite food, achieving something at work, taking the dog for a walk, looking at holidays online.
A good day will consist of a variety of things that add up to create your good day. Whilst we are able to control some things in our lives for example maybe what we eat and who we spend our free time with, there may be things that are necessities and have to be done on the daily. These things may not be typically be things we enjoy, but they must be incorporated into your ‘good day’. Find a way to make them good – even if it’s just in your mind.
