What is the greatest gift someone could give you?
I think the greatest gift someone can give me is their presence. The chance to get to know who they truly are. Their undivided attention. Their love, care and attention.
People are gifts and I absolutely love getting to know who people are. Finding out their likes and dislikes. What makes them tick? What is their love language? What is their favourite thing to do, to watch, to read, to eat? When people trust you and choose to open up and share who they are – that is a gift.
Being able to experience the privilege of someone’s company – where their attention is fully in the moment, they are sharing and listening – that is a gift.
Love is the greatest gift of all. I take all the love I can get. Never limit yourself to receiving love. Let it all flow in. Being loved in every way – by your nan, your dad, your sibling, your partner, your childhood friend. What could be a better gift than that?
