1 THING I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT MYSELF

What is one thing you would change about yourself?

You should never ‘change’ anything about yourself. Instead, you should simply grow, evolve, adapt and improve constantly. This is changING. Change for the better but not completely wiping out who you are, what you look like and the person you were born to be. You can always change in the way of improvement and growth by choosing to constantly be better, by working on your skills, by working to be a kinder, stronger person. You can change through adapting and evolving to situations and experiences around you – more generally the world itself. The world and society is constantly changing and evolving, it makes sense to adapt and evolve alongside it. Otherwise you will be left behind.

That is a constant, delicate form of change which involves being authentically who you are and loving that person but choosing to better that person so that you can love them even more easily. It is about evolving as a person, not about changing entirely.

You were born with the face you have, the arms, legs, nose, toes, ears and so on. You were born with them for a reason. You would not have been created that way if you were not meant to be. Accepting yourself and learning to love yourself comes first. It takes time and effort but it is worth it.

I am someone who has struggled with acne on and off for around 6 years – at stages it has ruined my life, my confidence and self esteem. It has effected my choices, decisions and life in so many ways you would think it’s ridiculous. It has always been something I’ve wanted to fix and change. It is still something I am working on improving, however it is something I have learnt to accept and to view as a learning curve, I believe I have acne because it was meant to lead me to learning about health and the body. Acne tells you something is off inside – it is a warning signal. So I am viewing it as a learning opportunity and something that will benefit me on the future. Acne is not going to hold me back, it is going to push me forward.

Whatever your insecurity – don’t let it hold you back, let it be what pushes you forward. Let it be what makes you evolve, grow, improve and adapt.
