KEEP MOVING FORWARD

A lot of the time, it may be easier to move backward or to not move at all – because that brings us less discomfort and is much simpler. However, if we always remain where we are and don’t change or in fact move backwards – we will never truly be happy or content and reach our goals. Mowing forward is always the answer.

Moving forward can be scary, it involves working hard, not focusing on the past and getting outside of our comfort zone. However, it is the only way we will succeed or be happy. If we are moving backward – we are reverting back to the past – our past traits, mistakes, person we were, challenges we faced – we are letting the past take hold of us and keep us there. If we are stuck not moving anymore then we are not evolving or growing – we are just repeating the same habits, same routine – we will get bored – if we are bored, we are not fulfilled.

Whereas, if we are moving forward, we are focused on the present moment but thinking about what we do in this present moment will do for us in the future. Living the hard life now, results in an easier life later. If we are moving forward, we are learning, progressing, growing, adapting. 1% better each day is all it takes to move forward and change your life. Doesn’t that sound worth it? You could even start with 0.5% better and work your way up.

Dory’s advice ‘just keep swimming’ is truly genius advice if we apply it here. We may not all be swimming but ‘swimming’ stands for forward, for persisting, for not giving up and moving forward regardless of the obstacles in your way.

So just keep swimming.
