DISCOVER WHO YOU TRULY ARE

Levelling up and changing as a person can be scary, crazy, overwhelming and hard – but the end result will be so worth it.

Changing can take a lot of effort, it takes being open minded, committed and curious. Once you start, I’m not sure you can stop.

Finding who you truly are may take a change – some deep reflection and pondering.

It can begin with the self awareness that you want to or feel you need to change – your life isn’t heading in the direction you want it to, you’re not being the person you want to be/doing the things you want to do. You come to the realisation that this is not what you want and therefore change is needed.

Self exploration is where this desire for change starts to be explored. You figure out what exactly you want to change and the reason why you want/need to change it. Who do you want to be? What do you want to do with your life? What values do you want to have? What career do you want? Are you happy with your friendship group? Do you want to live somewhere else? Do you want to take up a new hobby? Here you can truly start to find out who you are and who you want to be by figuring out your likes, dislikes, hates, loves, mediums, faults, strengths etc.

Self understanding is realising who you are/who you have been and the changes you will need to make for the person you want to become (if you want to change). It is getting to know yourself in an honest and real way – understanding your strengths as well as your faults and understanding why you are the way you are, but realising you have the capacity to change for the better and to improve.

Self love is reaching the point where you totally accept yourself for who you are – faults and all, but realise you can be who you are and still constantly improve. By figuring out your values, goals, likes etc earlier on ^^ you have built stepping stones to love yourself – it is a-lot easier to love and accept yourself when you actually know who you are.

Self transformation is where you have done all the work, the figuring out, the growing, the learning, the exploring, the acceptance and you actually begin to change. You start becoming the person you want to be and embody the values and traits that person holds. You start to become the best version of you. The version that keeps your promises to yourself, that wakes up early, is disciplined, is loving & caring, is calm and patient, full of gratitude and so forth.

Self discovery is discovering the best version of you in all your glory. It is seeing and experiencing who you can be and the person you have worked so hard to become. It is finally seeing the work pay off. It is seeing yourself be a better person. It is knowing confidently who you are, what your values and traits are and using that as a guide and map for how you live your life – a better, more fulfilled, happier life. 🙂
