MOVE YOUR BODY BITCH

So you want to be happier? You want to have more energy? You want to be better? You want to be healthier? You want to be a bad b? AND YOU’RE NOT EXERCISING. BABE. Let me be probably not the first or last to tell you, you need to start moving your body. Now before you roll your eyes, sigh and click off this…. Moving your body could be SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS!! Let me list just a few…. Dancing (from street dance to pole dancing to salsa – whatever gets your heart pumping baby!), walking, running, boxing or any kind of martial arts, lifting weights, Pilates, yoga, skipping, cycling, swimming, gymnastics, going to a trampoline park!! Bro, there are endless options out there for you.

The hardest part is starting. I know I know you’ve head that before but it really is the truth. Think about all the other things in life you can’t stand to start but once you do it’s really not so bad. THE HARDEST PART IS STARTING. It’s really just piss after that. And if you find it’s not… enjoy the pain, enjoy your body working hard, enjoy your body working to make you better, healthier and happier.

This is coming from someone who NEVER used to exercise. I barely walked anywhere because I couldn’t be arsed. I wanted to go to the gym for a long time but it took a friend of mine nudging me and saying she would join with me for me to finally go. For the first 2 months I only went when we could go together (which was only about once a week) – FUCKING PUSSY MOVE. But then I started to go by myself. I started going by myself AND not using the same 4 machines over and over again. I started trying new exercises. I started to experiment. I started to learn. I started to turn up every day. I started to become disciplined. I started to see CHANGE. My form improved, my muscles began to grow and my mind began to heal. And I have loved it ever since. It is a time I cherish and am grateful for. The simple change in mindset from saying I HAVE TO > I GET TO reminds me whenever I lack motivation that I am blessed to be ABLE TO exercise and use my body and create strength and power from it. Not everyone has that opportunity.

So I’m asking you to START. I don’t care if you starting is going for 5 minutes and only using one machine once a week, or taking a comfort teddy or wearing massive sweats that cover your entire being or wearing a ghost mask. JUST START. I promise you will not regret it. Do it for you. Do it because you can. Do it to be better.
